Freight Ocean Operator Job Description

DP World is seeking a skilled Freight Ocean Operator to join our team in Rotterdam, NL. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the initiatives of our Regional Freight Forwarding Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage file creation and services associated with freight forwarding and logistics
  • Assist with account start-up and liaison with sales to ensure required documentation is provided
  • Monitor and audit files weekly for compliance and timely invoicing
  • Assist clients with export/import documentation and provide sailing details for proper execution
  • Liaise with Ocean lines to procure the best possible solutions for capacity and cost
  • Network with colleagues to ensure proper support in case of workflow overload
Requirements:
  • Degree in logistics/supply chain or a similar discipline
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Freight Forwarding industry with a focus on Ocean Freight
  • Ability to drive strong execution of initiatives and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent command of English, and Dutch is a plus
