Job Description:

As a Telecom Patent Examiner at the European Patent Office (EPO), you will have the unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of technology, analyzing the latest inventions in the field of telecom. Your role will be to examine patent applications, conducting thorough research and analysis to ensure that patents are granted fairly and efficiently.

About the Role:

  • You will perform end-to-end examination of patent applications, including researching, finding, and using relevant prior art.
  • You will support the entire innovation ecosystem by making well-reasoned decisions on whether a patent is to be granted.
  • You will ensure the uniform and effective application of the European Patent Convention and other legal texts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • You will have a Master's degree (or equivalent/higher) covering one or more technical fields mentioned above.
  • You will have excellent knowledge (at least C1) of one of our official languages (English, French, and German) and the ability to understand the other two.
  • Work experience in industry would be an advantage.
  • You will be a citizen of one of the European Patent Organisation member states.
