About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Scheduling Specialist to be based in the Netherlands.
The Supply Chain Scheduling Specialist is responsible for raw material planning within the Dow Plastic Additives business. This includes balancing supply and demand, raw material stock position for main monomers and multiple active ingredients over a daily or monthly planning horizon, to achieve optimum product availability, asset utilization, and supply chain efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, validate, and maintain a valid materials plan based on the Master Production Schedule in OMP.
- Ensure the right materials are procured at the right time, quality, and quantity to minimize production and storage costs, based on the material plan.
- Develop and provide expected demand for ingredients and packaging materials to suppliers on a regular basis. Obtain supply capability confirmation.
- Schedule and manage the execution of material deliveries against existing contracts or purchase orders.
- Assess and respond to expected raw material storage and distribution capacity requirements based on supplier lead times.
- Lead the resolution of short-term supply/demand imbalances for ingredients and packaging materials.
- Identify and initiate responses to raw material service/quality complaints from manufacturing. Initiate return material processes involving QA and Sourcing.
- Participate in and provide data for the evaluation of supplier service performance and work with sourcing and suppliers to improve performance.
- Execute plans for non-productive raw materials for disposition. Manage the health of raw materials, semi-finished, and packaging materials.
- Plan the movement of sourced/in-process product from a stocking location to a specific point of use location.
- Utilize the system(s) of record to plan and execute raw material and semi-finished procurement and identify issues where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate raw material and supplier master data, including planning parameters such as order quantities or lot sizes, lead times, and safety stocks.
- Maintain and manage SAP Material Master data for specific plant and supplied materials.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in a discipline demonstrating logical thinking or computational skills (Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, and related sciences).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably within Integrated Supply Chain or a manufacturing environment.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively present to all levels of an organization internally and externally and proactively work and cooperate with other departments and suppliers.
- The critical competencies required for success are Interpersonal Effectiveness, Initiative, Teamwork, and Supply Chain Management.
Preferred Skills
- APICS CPIM Certification or similar accreditation preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Fluency in French and Turkish language skills are an advantage.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, SAP/APO/BW/MIMI/OMP (or equivalent) preferred.
