Financial Risk Management Expertise

Cultivate your financial risk management expertise as a member of our Van Hay team. As a Senior Financial Risk Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial risk management framework and ensuring that financial risks stay within the defined risk appetite.

The role involves evaluating new products and business initiatives from a financial risk management perspective, validating internal risk and investment models, and validating financial risk-related reporting processes.

You will also perform in-depth risk and scenario analyses to determine where risks lie in specific financial processes and propose improvement measurements as needed.

Additionally, you will contribute to reports prepared for the Board and Risk Committees and keep your knowledge up-to-date on new laws and regulations in your field.

Requirements

We are looking for a suitable candidate with a completed university degree in finance/economics or a related field and preferably a FRM and/or CFA certification.

Seven to ten years of work experience in the field of Financial Risk Management, in banking and investment management, is also required.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyze risks
  • Proactive and strong communication skills
  • Good command of English (Dutch would be preferable)
  • Experience with data analytics, Excel (VBA), Python, SAS, and GRC tooling
