About the Role
- We are seeking a motivated and adaptable R&D intern to be part of our Hydrocolloids division.
- In this division, your focus will be on the functionality and optimization of starch within plant-based cheese formulations.
- Understanding the role of starch is vital as it significantly influences the texture, stability, and overall performance of food products.
- A thorough comprehension of the chemical compositions, structures, and functional characteristics of starch is essential for its effective application in creating high-quality food items.
- The goal of this internship is to create a comprehensive mapping of various starches under different rheological conditions.
- You will analyze the results to establish connections between starch functionality and the structure, texture, and performance of plant-based cheese.
- This starch mapping will serve as a valuable tool for enhancing product design.
Candidate Profile
What Qualifications Are Needed?
- You are currently pursuing a master's degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related discipline at a Dutch university.
- You possess strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Ideally, you have previous experience with rheology and/or starches.
