The University of Twente is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our Power Electronics and Electromagnetic Compatibility Group within the Department of Electrical Engineering.

The successful candidate will work on the EU Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Project NEPIT - Network for Evaluation of Propagation and Interference Training, focusing on the development of validated models to predict EM coupling into and out of (random) apertures (and random wires) using Monte-Carlo deterministic and statistical techniques for EM waves.

The objectives of this research are to increase knowledge and develop widely accepted models to be used by industry to estimate the risk of EMI, which can be embedded in current EM tools as applied within industry.

We are looking for a researcher with a master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a background in physical electronics, analytical mathematics, and simulation.

The PhD researcher will be appointed on a full-time position for four years, with a qualifier in the first year, within a very stimulating scientific environment.

The university offers a dynamic ecosystem with enthusiastic colleagues, a salary ranging from around €2,770,- gross per month at the start to around €3,539,- in the fourth year, and excellent benefits including a holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary, a year-end bonus of 8.3%, and a solid pension scheme.
