Job Title: Site Reliability EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing systems software that improves the stability, scalability, availability, and robustness of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop systems software to improve system reliability and performance
- Develop patterns for automation, instrumentation, and monitoring to ensure system stability and scalability
- Take ownership of several services and products, ensuring their smooth operation and continuous improvement
- Automate routine operational tasks to minimize manual intervention and maximize system availability
- Develop and implement strategies for effective monitoring and observability of our systems
- Lead outage response calls and participate in incident response efforts to ensure quick resolution of issues and minimize downtime
- Triage and fix system issues in a complex distributed landscape
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including weekend or after-hours coverage
- Oversee and continuously improve incident-response processes at Odido
- Advocate for engineering best practices across the company and mentor junior engineers on automation and operational best practices
- Experience with public cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and related technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Formation)
- Good understanding of storage and database systems, caching, and queueing, networking
- Experience leading technical recoveries and designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems
- Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine operational tasks
- Solid foundation in Linux or Windows administration and troubleshooting
- Monitoring/observability technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch are a plus
- Understanding of Service level agreements and objectives
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Solid understanding of programming principles and good command of at least one programming language relevant for infrastructure work
