Operational Excellence Specialist

As a key member of our global team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across our EMEA sites. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing practical process improvement programs, harmonizing initiatives across the region, and building on the strengths of prior transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the progress of continuous improvement efforts and facilitate integration of initiatives and methodologies across sites.
  • Measure and report key aspects of PPI performance.
  • Work closely with Finance to build operational budgets and calculate financial impacts of improvement initiatives.
  • Deploy opportunities to use PPI to improve client satisfaction.
  • Identify and prioritize annual PPI opportunities in conjunction with the site leadership team.
  • Manage, coach, and develop leaders to embrace PPI concepts and techniques.
  • Ensure PPI training systems are established to develop site leaders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or science preferred.
  • 2-5 years working in a continuous improvement related capacity with exposure to lean principles and techniques.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP) is beneficial.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to drive functional, technical, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to inspire and foster innovation, collaboration, transparency, and team effectiveness.
