Experienced Bus Driver

You will work at GVB via Olympia, a leading organization for public transport in and around Amsterdam. As a bus driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of passengers. But your role goes beyond just driving a bus. You will be the face of GVB, welcoming tourists and locals alike to the city. You will work on a variety of routes, including the popular online 22 and online 369, and will have the opportunity to drive the latest electric buses.
Your day will start at one of the GVB garages, where you will meet with colleagues and prepare for your shift. You will drive a number of different lines, taking breaks at designated points to rest and recharge. You will also be responsible for checking tickets, addressing passenger behavior, and answering questions. If you have an electric bus, you will have the opportunity to charge it during your breaks.

Requirements- Driving license D and code 95;
- Between 1.65 and 2 meters tall, to ensure a good view from the driver's seat;
- Own transport to the departure points of the buses;
- MBO working and thinking level (level 3);
- Good vision and ability to distinguish colors and signals;
- A Statement Of Conduct;
- Basic knowledge of Amsterdam, which you will learn extensively during the course.
- A good salary of €2,733.09 gross per month, based on 40 hours, including an irregularity allowance;
- Ability to work 8-32 hours per week, with flexibility to choose your schedule;
- Travel allowance if you live outside Amsterdam, making it a great opportunity for those living in Purmerend, Zaanstad, or Almere;
- Free access to GVB-public transport, even when you are not at work;
- A lot of participation in your own schedule, allowing you to choose which days you want to work and how many hours;
- A temporary employment contract with Olympia, with the possibility of becoming employed by GVB in the long run;
- Holiday pay, a good pension scheme, and 25 days off per year with full-time employment;
- GVB-company clothing.
