Senior Physics Specialist

ASML is seeking a highly skilled Senior Physics Specialist to join our System Performance department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for predicting and optimizing the performance of our scanners, ensuring they meet the demands of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Predict and assess the performance of our future systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing real scanners to meet customer requirements.
- Contribute to the development of ASML products by testing, analyzing, and qualifying performance, and inventing and specifying improvements within system specifications, costs, and planning considerations.
- Develop expertise in how design choices in scanner hardware and software influence system performance, understanding the importance of performance to our customers.
- Use sophisticated simulation tools or create tests and analysis tools to assess performance and facilitate effective trouble-shooting.
- Invent and design new calibration and qualification methods to improve performance using innovative data analysis methods and statistical methods to show improvements or issues.
- Solid technical background in physics, optics, or related field.
- More than 8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in lithography.
- Solid theoretical and/or experimental skills, supported by experience with mathematical modeling, statistics, and model verification or optical design simulation.
- Experience with technical steering of a team and impacting the business beyond own competence domain.

Our System Performance department is part of the Performance & Integration department within ASML, predicting and optimizing how our scanners will perform in their natural habitat: our customer's wafer fab. We perform this task for EUV and immersion scanners.
