About the Role
Splunk Inc is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our presales team as a Staff Solutions Engineer in The Netherlands. As a key technical sales resource for the Field Sales team, you will be responsible for supporting our Strategic accounts and serving our customers and prospects in The Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical sales resource for the Field Sales team, providing technical expertise and support to our Strategic accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers' technical staff, identifying and addressing their technical needs and concerns.
- Travel to visit prospects and customers, engaging in onsite customer work and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFI's/RFP's, providing detailed and accurate information to support our sales efforts.
- Collaborate with the sales team and SE management to develop and continually improve working practices, best practices, presales processes.
Requirements
- Strong domain expertise within IT Infrastructure, with additional knowledge of security tools, industry trends, methodologies, and best practices.
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of each target client's business, operations, and industry trends, including understanding the strategic business and technology goals.
- Ability to participate in account planning and planning meetings to identify new and follow-up solutions, services, and education opportunities.
- Ability to support development and articulate business value/ROI case studies.
- Domain knowledge and experience in any of the following areas: IT infrastructure, Cloud Technologies, Application Delivery, Business Analytics, or Log Management.
- Experience and familiarity with IT management products and services.
- Experience with networking, server, application, and development technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficient verbal and written Dutch & English language skills.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a pre-sales position.
- Relevant certifications.
- Proactive and able to manage activities in a self-sufficient manner.
