About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Pathology team in Utrecht as an intern. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a student project involving detection of complement deposition in human tissue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development and performance of cutting-edge molecular pathology techniques to detect and quantify protein expression in normal and diseased tissues.
  • Generation of high-quality microscopic slide scans using advanced whole slide scanners and performance of quantitative image analysis.
  • Translation of scientific questions into experimental plans and management of these into wet-lab activities.
  • Support on the reporting of scientific results in reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a current Master's degree pursuit in a relevant field (biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, molecular biology, life sciences, immunology).
  • Strong understanding of molecular pathology techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English.
