Your Role at TenneT
As a passionate electrical engineer, you will be part of our Large Projects Offshore (LPO) department, based in Arnhem. Your expertise will contribute to the construction of offshore substations under an EPCI contract.
You should possess substantial experience with electrical systems in offshore or shipbuilding contexts, alongside a strong understanding of electrical equipment design and calculations. This role demands close collaboration with technical experts and site teams throughout all project phases, from design to the handover of the offshore substation to operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of all offshore auxiliary platform systems within the Electrical discipline, ensuring compliance with TenneT's standards and contractual obligations.
- Engage actively at the contractor's site, monitoring engineering, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning processes, including international travel as required.
- Support the implementation of employer's requirements for various electrical systems and clarify these requirements to contractors.
- Evaluate contractor documentation for compliance with requirements and overall design specifications.
- Review quality plans for electrical packages and participate in inspections and testing of low voltage electrical equipment.
Your Profile:
To excel in this role, you should have strong communication, collaboration, and persuasive skills, coupled with a balanced judgment and a proactive, motivated attitude. You are a problem-solver with analytical capabilities, able to work independently as well as part of a team. Additionally, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (BSc. or higher).
- Experience: At least 5 years in electrical engineering, focusing on low voltage systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in ETAP, AutoCAD, 3D model review, and Navisworks.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and Asia (up to 20% of the time).
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Dutch is advantageous but not essential.
- Other Requirements: Valid driving license.
