The estimated salary for this position is €120,000 - €150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This role involves ensuring that Sioux projects incorporate Design for eXcellence (DFX) principles to guarantee efficient and cost-effective product development, as well as ease of maintenance throughout the product's lifespan.

You will be responsible for defining requirements, concepts, and design solutions from a DFX perspective, interacting with architects, designers, and engineers to achieve project goals.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in development projects, defining requirements, concepts, and design solutions from the DFX perspective.
  • Interact with architects, designers, and engineers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Seek collaboration with NPI colleagues from Sioux Assembly and external suppliers.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and propagation of the DFX area within the Sioux organization.
  • Define and implement processes, practices, and templates to anchor DFX in the company culture and ensure its effective inclusion in the design process.
  • Secure DFX best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanics.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in machine and equipment development and realization projects, preferably with a mix of development and operational environments.
  • In-depth theoretical knowledge and practical experience with Design for eXcellence (DFX: cost, manufacturability, assembly, service, etc.) and value engineering.
  • Skills in precision mechanics and precision systems design.
  • Proficiency in defining and implementing DFX processes, working methods, and templates, with expertise in embedding these in the organization.
  • Creativity and ability to develop solutions based on multidisciplinary concepts.
  • 3D CAD experience.
  • Effective communication and coaching skills.
