About the Role

As a Precision Mechanics Architect at Sioux Technologies, you will play a vital role in the development of cutting-edge high-tech systems. Your expertise in precision mechanics will involve designing and developing systems that operate in extreme conditions, such as ultra-low and ultra-high vacuum, with precise positioning and high-speed movements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate customer needs into specifications, defining mechanical architectures, budgets, and conceptual designs of systems.
  • Specify tests and integration requirements to ensure the quality of the delivered product.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer, other architects, project managers, account managers, and the project team to ensure alignment and synergy.
  • Lead by example, encouraging your team of designers and engineers to take ownership of their deliverables.
  • Take ownership of a larger scope of work and more complex challenges, including stakeholder management and project complexity.

Requirements
  • A MSc or PhD in Mechanical or Mechatronical Engineering.
  • A proven track record in precision mechanics and high-tech system design.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the design of mechatronic and precision systems and equipment.
  • Excellent analytical skills and levels of abstraction.
  • Skilled in the use of various analysis methods.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A technical leader and inspirational coach towards team members.
