Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Siemens in The Hague. As a Senior Project Engineer Busbar, you will be responsible for designing rail channel systems that handle critical energy distribution in data centers.

Your role will be dynamic and multifaceted, involving electrical engineering calculations, developing technical designs in a 3D environment, and resolving issues related to layout, component selection, fire safety, mechanical interfacing, electrical auxiliary systems, and cabling.

You will also coordinate with colleagues on the design of low-voltage distributors, medium-voltage systems, or E-houses, review technical basic and detailed designs, and maintain proactive communication with customers, considering commercial aspects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design rail channel systems for data centers
  • Develop technical designs in a 3D environment
  • Resolve issues related to layout, component selection, fire safety, mechanical interfacing, electrical auxiliary systems, and cabling
  • Coordinate with colleagues on the design of low-voltage distributors, medium-voltage systems, or E-houses
  • Review technical basic and detailed designs
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers, considering commercial aspects

Requirements

  • HBO degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering (ideally in an international project setting)
  • Accuracy, critical thinking, and broad technical interest
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Flexibility, practicality, and a results-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills and engagement
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken; Dutch is an advantage
  • Willingness to work on-site at customers' and production locations, both in the Netherlands and abroad, for short periods

What We Offer

  • A gross monthly salary of up to €4.500
  • A 13th-month payment, prorated periodically
  • 8.33% holiday allowance, calculated over 12 months' salary
  • Pension Plus plan (starting from day 1)
  • 5% ADV allowance
  • A net amount of €750 for setting up your home office
  • 25 vacation days per year based on a 40-hour work week
  • Travel expense reimbursement
  • Internet allowance
  • Home office allowance

You will be seconded through Yacht for a year, with the possibility of being considered for a permanent position at Siemens after this period.
