We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Static Equipment Engineer to join our Asset Engineering team at SABIC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring static asset performance, predicting equipment failures, and proactively addressing them through effective equipment strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough investigations and failure analysis to identify root causes and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Perform technical studies and coordinate with the Inspection department and Operations and Maintenance teams to address unexpected failures or breakdowns of static equipment.
- Develop and implement static equipment integrity strategies, including RBI and RCM methodologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address potential corrosion and materials issues.
- Provide technical support and recommendations for project and turnaround scope development, review, and execution.
- Ensure compliance with SABIC Manufacturing Standards and implement best practices for static equipment.
- Participate in PM strategy development for static equipment and contribute to long-term asset replacement investment plans.
- Develop and lead CDP preparation as a team member and participate in virtual domain support for special topics related to static equipment.
- Contribute technical expertise in team workshops, such as RCA, RCM, PHA, and MOC Committee.
- Stay up-to-date with legal requirements related to static equipment.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in reliability, maintenance, and/or engineering in the oil & gas, petrochemical, and/or energy production industry.
- Strong knowledge of integrity analysis tools and methodologies for static equipment.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards, particularly in advanced technology, corrosion, and metallurgy.
- Understanding of welding, materials, corrosion, and damage mechanisms in petrochemical industries.
- Risk-based analytical mindset and experience in facilitating and chairing multi-disciplinary meetings.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and pragmatic approach to achieving company targets.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work collaboratively in a team and across multiple departments.
