Sustainability Project Manager: Environmental Impact Specialist

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Sustainability Project Manager (Environmental) to manage operational environmental sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce environmental impact, focusing on energy use, water consumption, waste management, biodiversity, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Stay updated on the latest environmental sustainability developments, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and monitoring KPIs.
  • Develop scalable environmental improvement projects for the supply chain, managing implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ZDHC, Fashion Charter, and Cascale standards across the supply chain.
  • Manage compliance with membership requirements, devising strategies to improve status.
  • Coordinate internal teams to ensure alignment with standards and integrate sustainable practices.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in environmental performance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices.

Requirements:

  • Masters's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in the apparel industry.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
