Job Title: Space Documentation Specialist

Serco, a leading Space Services Provider, is seeking a skilled Space Documentation Specialist to join our team at the esteemed ESA-ESTEC site in the Netherlands. Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support the preparation and coordination of documents, reports, and other materials for the European Space Agency's (ESA) Human and Robotic Exploration programme. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation of documents, reports, and other materials for the ESA's Human and Robotic Exploration programme.
  • Coordinate the coordination of ESA final reports following completion of activities.
  • Perform proofreading, formatting, and editing to ensure documents are structured, written, and formatted in a consistent manner.
  • Produce or modify document templates to ensure compliance with GCDs or DRDs for recurrent documentation.
  • Perform the planning, coordination, and document readiness tracking for submission of papers to ensure the timely delivery of formal documents.
  • Perform document generation, (e.g., flow charts, graphics), proofreading, content compilation, and editing for recurrent or non-recurrent ESA documents/reports.
  • Support the coordination, preparation, and perform the timely approval process follow-up of documents to AC and IPC.
  • Establish and maintain the archive of documents.
  • Support coordination and finalization of document data packs to be issued to EC, International Partners, or Member States.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration (or Communications as relevant).
  • At least 4 years of previous relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Agency's information systems and tools is an asset.
  • Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of another ESA member-state language is an asset.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
