About the Position

We are seeking a Professor to join our team at the HAN University of Applied Sciences, specifically in the Balanced Energy Systems research group cluster. As a Professor, you will play a key role in shaping the energy transition by applying your expertise in hydrogen technology and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evidence-based and practice-oriented research in the field of decentralized hydrogen applications.
  • Lead a knowledge base of expert teachers, researchers, and PhD students.
  • Contribute to international undergraduate and graduate education by giving lectures and supervising students.
  • Develop and implement the educational and research vision, shaping the organisational structure and culture.
  • Acquire research projects and contribute to the external promotion of HAN.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, with extensive knowledge of and experience in hydrogen technology and applications.
  • Business knowledge and experience, combined with a technical background in engineering physics, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrable affinity with the social aspects of renewable energy.
  • Experience in practice-based research within education, with the ability to properly deal with various stakeholders.
  • Innovative and focused on concretely solving issues and problems.
  • Commercially and organisationally strong.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
