The project aims to develop a model that predicts the remaining grease life based on oil content, bleed properties, oxidation, and rheology of grease samples. This requires a thorough understanding of Elasto-Hydrodynamic Lubrication (EHL), thin film lubrication properties of oils, and grease lubrication mechanisms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and experience in modeling using Python and/or MATLAB. Proficiency in English is required, and the candidate should be able to provide IELTS test results or TOEFL-iBT scores.
The position offers a 2-year postdoctoral research position, excellent mentorship, and a stimulating research environment with excellent facilities. The gross salary will be between € 3,877 and € 5,090 per month, depending on experience.
