We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimator to join our team at Boskalis Offshore Energy. As a key member of our cost estimating team, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on various international and one-of-a-kind projects that often receive media attention. Some examples include the transport and installation of five floating wind turbines for a major offshore wind farm and the installation scope for a large offshore wind farm project.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop different scenarios and create cost calculations or budgets based on customer demand and available specifications and tender documents.
  • Arrange document registration and keep calculation/budget files and calculation databases up-to-date.
  • Advise on risk scenarios during risk sessions in the tender or implementation phase.
  • Support project teams with work preparation, such as creating concept plans and initiating working budgets.
  • Evaluate prices at subcontractors, hire services, and suppliers.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a Cost Estimator in a project-oriented company within Offshore Energy, preferably in Renewables.
  • Bachelor's degree in a field like Engineering (Civil, Maritime, Offshore, Technical Business Studies) or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract management and financial-economic business processes.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Analytical and accurate approach, with a focus on results and proactivity.

Location and Team

You will be based in the head office in Papendrecht. For office-based roles, you'll work partly at home and partly in the office. The position is a full-time job (40 hours a week).

As a Sr. Cost Estimator, you will take part in one or more tender teams, working closely with the Tender Manager, Planning Engineer, Risk Engineer, and Procurement.
