Job Summary

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons seeks a seasoned Data Analyst to support the Programme Control and Monitoring Branch in the execution of its programmatic activities.


Main Responsibilities
General

  • Under the direct supervision of the Senior Inspectorate Business Analyst, the Data Analyst will support the execution of programmatic activities of the Inspectorate Division, ensuring a fully integrated management of INS operational resources.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Manual of Confidentiality Procedure (MCP).
  • Assist the Head of CMB in achieving the responsibilities and objectives of the Branch.
  • Support Knowledge Management activities.

Specific

  • Support the translation of strategic vision into concrete action plans, and collect, process, and perform statistical analyses on large datasets to generate insights that inform strategic decisions and support the goals of the INS.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality.

Qualifications and Experience
Education

An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in public administration, business administration, economics, engineering, data/information management, information technology, or a related field is required.


Desirable

  • Professional certification in programme and/or project management is desirable.
  • Development of business analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, business strategizing, planning, and monitoring, variance analysis, reporting, and defining business requirements for stakeholders.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential

  • At least five years of relevant experience in programme/project management, working with large data sets to produce implementation statistics, identify trends, and report results.
  • Experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Desirable

  • Experience formulating budgeting and forecasting models, planning, and monitoring, variance analysis, and developing costing methodologies.
  • Experience in the use and implementation of ERP systems in particular budgetary module(s), associated budgetary processes, and reporting.

Languages

Fluency in English is essential, and a good working knowledge of one of the other official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is desirable.
