We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team at TU Delft. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the 'Technology and Loneliness' work package, examining the current use of technology among young adults and the direct effects of existing technologies on subjective experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research to investigate the direct effects of technology on loneliness and propose new solutions to mitigate it.
- Work closely with two other PhD candidates in the project to achieve project goals.
- Present research findings at scientific events and engage with project partners.
- MSc degree in engineering, artificial intelligence, or robotics with a focus on human-technology interaction and human behavior.
- Embracement of open science principles and modern communication tools.
- Proficiency in the Dutch language is a must.
- A 4-year period of employment in principle, with a 1.5-year contract followed by an additional contract for the remaining 2.5 years.
- A salary in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, increasing from €2770 per month in the first year to €3539 in the fourth year.
- Enrollment in the TU Delft Graduate School, providing an inspiring research environment and excellent team of supervisors, academic staff, and a mentor.
