PhD Position in Acoustic Modeling for Interaction Noise

At TU Delft, we are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to work on the acoustic modeling of turbulence distortion for rotor interaction. The successful candidate will be part of a research team focused on developing innovative solutions for aerospace engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract turbulent characteristics of canonical distorted flow patterns generated by the interaction of a wing with a rotor
- Analyze how to embed turbulent flow parameters into existing acoustic analogies
- Develop an acoustic noise prediction tool sensitive to geometric configuration and flow pattern
Requirements
- MSc degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
- Good analytical skills and a strong interest in performing experiments
- Solid knowledge of signal processing and mathematical theories
- Advanced programming skills are advantageous
