We are looking for talented individuals who want to make a difference in our organization. As a shop floor scheduler, you will play a critical role in managing all planning activities within a production area.
Job Summary
As a shop floor scheduler, you will be responsible for managing visual systems to determine and monitor the sequence of production orders, ensuring the availability of resources, and creating and maintaining the optimal production sequence.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Allocate resources such as labor, machinery, and materials to meet production requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments, including production, logistics, and procurement, to ensure smooth production flow.
- Track the progress of production orders and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing requirements or solve problems.
- Manage inventory levels to avoid over- or shortages while minimizing inventory costs.
- Identify and address production bottlenecks, delays, and other issues that may affect production schedules.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics and experience with day-to-day planning within an operations environment. You should be stress-resistant, able to work independently and in a team, and eager to learn. Good communication skills are essential, and you should be able to create support for your ideas to get stakeholders on board.
