About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer Busbar to join our team at Siemens in The Hague. As a key member of our global competence center for Data Centers, you will be responsible for designing rail channel systems that handle critical energy distribution in data centers.

Your role will be dynamic and multifaceted, requiring you to handle electrical engineering of designs, developing technical designs in a 3D environment, resolving issues related to layout, component selection, fire safety, mechanical interfacing, electrical auxiliary systems, and cabling.

You will also be responsible for coordinating with colleagues on the design of low-voltage distributors, medium-voltage systems, or E-houses, reviewing technical basic and detailed designs, maintaining proactive communication with customers, considering commercial aspects, and organizing and attending factory acceptance tests (FAT) with customers.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in electrical engineering, ideally with experience in an international project setting. You should have a HBO degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering.

As a Busbar Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic project organization and will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects with a global impact. You will be responsible for developing and proposing improvement initiatives and will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a competitive salary of up to €4,500 per month, a 13th-month payment, and 8.33% holiday allowance. You will also be seconded through Yacht for a year, with the possibility of being considered for a permanent position at Siemens after this period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design rail channel systems that handle critical energy distribution in data centers
  • Develop technical designs in a 3D environment
  • Resolve issues related to layout, component selection, fire safety, mechanical interfacing, electrical auxiliary systems, and cabling
  • Coordinate with colleagues on the design of low-voltage distributors, medium-voltage systems, or E-houses
  • Review technical basic and detailed designs
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers, considering commercial aspects
  • Organize and attend factory acceptance tests (FAT) with customers
  • Develop and propose improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • HBO degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally in an international project setting
  • Accuracy, critical thinking, and broad technical interest
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Flexibility, practicality, and a results-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills and engagement
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken; Dutch is an advantage
  • Willingness to work on-site at customers' and production locations, both in the Netherlands and abroad, for short periods
