The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a regulatory and/or legal function focused on payments-, financial services- or fintech industry. They will have strong analytical and communication skills to provide pragmatic and strategic advice to both internal and external stakeholders on regulatory matters.

The Regulatory Counsel will help Adyen create opportunities that set us apart from the competition. They will provide strategic regulatory advice, lead regulatory engagements, and manage relationships with regulators and supervisors to achieve Adyen's strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will have a strong sense of initiative, independence, and ability to take ownership. They will be an analytical thinker who can ideate creative solutions for complex regulatory challenges.

We are looking for someone who is fluent in English and has full proficiency in French or German.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic regulatory advice to internal stakeholders and Adyen's customers.
  • Lead regulatory engagements and manage relationships with regulators and supervisors.
  • Anticipate and spot key regulatory obligations and risks.
  • Translate identified obligations into relevant Policies and Procedures.
  • Represent regulatory on various workstreams and products.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a regulatory and/or legal function.
  • Strong knowledge of the European payments-, financial services- or fintech industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative.
  • Fluent in English and full proficiency in French or German.
