At Adyen, we are looking for a skilled Regulatory Counsel to join our EMEA Regulatory team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a regulatory and/or legal function focused on payments, financial services, or fintech industry. They will have strong analytical and communication skills, as well as experience in managing internal stakeholders and/or relationships with regulators or supervisors.

As a Regulatory Counsel, you will help Adyen create opportunities that set us apart from the competition. You will provide strategic regulatory advice, lead regulatory engagements, and manage relationships with regulators and supervisors to achieve Adyen's strategic objectives.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who can ideate creative solutions for complex regulatory challenges. If you have a strong sense of initiative, independence, and ability to take ownership, we want to hear from you.

Adyen's Regulatory function plays a strategic role in the acquisition and management of Adyen's permissions and licenses required to support Adyen's commercial ambitions. Our team consists of international regulatory experts coming from diverse backgrounds, and we are looking for someone who can bring their unique perspective and skills to the table.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic regulatory advice to internal stakeholders and Adyen's customers;
  • Leading regulatory engagements and managing relationships with regulators and supervisors;
  • Anticipating and spotting key regulatory obligations and risks;
  • Translating identified obligations into relevant Policies and Procedures;
  • Representing regulatory on various workstreams and products.
