Job Title: Data Manager for Ruisdael Observatory of Atmospheric Science

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Manager to join our team at Ruisdael Observatory of Atmospheric Science. As a Data Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of information from various weather sensors across the Netherlands to TU Delft and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure timely and secure delivery to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement custom-made software solutions for data acquisition, processing, visualization, and publishing.
  • Monitor ETL pipelines and implement quality control mechanisms to ensure data integrity.
  • Coordinate data management activities with local, national, and international partners.
  • Manage computer servers and provide technical support to staff and students.
  • Write detailed documentation on existing workflows, software, and datasets.
  • Handle requests for information and data access.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in data/software engineering, data management, or equivalent.
  • Implementation and management of automated data pipelines.
  • Good knowledge of Linux, version control, containerization, and programming in Python.
  • Experience with relational databases, data formats, and data storage/transformation tools.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a small team and coordinate efforts.
