Position Overview
At Sioux Technologies, we are dedicated to creating and integrating cutting-edge application software tailored for high-tech industries. As a motivated Scientific Software Designer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our solutions meet the evolving demands of our clients.
Your Role
In this position, you will engage in the design and development of algorithms utilizing programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and potentially Julia. Your ability to navigate new systems and knowledge domains will be essential. We seek individuals with a robust background in software development, particularly those who excel in abstract thinking and modeling techniques. Experience in addressing algorithmic challenges in applied mathematics is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement algorithms for various applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform customer requirements into technical specifications.
- Utilize MATLAB and Python effectively, with knowledge of Julia considered an asset.
- Employ various development methodologies and tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Git, and BitBucket.
- Mentor junior team members based on your extensive experience.
Qualifications
- A master's degree or higher in computer science, applied mathematics, data science, physics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in applied mathematics and analytical problem-solving.
- Strong team player with a commitment to achieving common goals.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new project-related domains.
- An analytical mindset with a focus on research and development.
