Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Leadership professional to join our team at NN. As a seasoned leader, you will be responsible for guiding and developing high-performing engineering teams to achieve exceptional results.

About the Role

This leadership position is focused on building and managing software development teams within our Engineering Experience and Platforms domain. Your primary objective will be to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, ensuring that our engineers have the necessary skills and resources to deliver outstanding products and services.

Responsibilities
  1. You will effectively manage the People Cycle process, utilizing NN's HR conversations, processes, and tools to handle staffing, hiring, selection, onboarding, and retention.
  2. You will define objectives for and with the team, including development paths for skills and team maturity.
  3. You will create a Strategic Workforce Planning for the team composition in line with the product strategy.
  4. You will establish Objectives and quarterly Key Results on learning and development together with the domain's leadership team.
  5. You will empower teams by removing impediments.
  6. You will develop and evolve engineers based on your technical experience and craftsmanship.
  7. You will help build the right culture by organizing engagement among engineers, ensuring they have fun in their job and learning new skills becomes normal.
  8. You will guide the team towards modern engineering and help ensure product quality.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • At least 10+ years of relevant work experience as an engineer, well-informed about the latest technologies, and skilled in coaching and training others.
  • 3-5 years of experience in leading and managing a team of engineers.
  • An endless drive to help people grow and provide new opportunities to learn.
  • The ability to understand other people's perspectives and long-term ambitions.
  • The capacity to provide regular feedback to others and help them with insights on their effectiveness.
  • Staying informed on the latest developments in your area of expertise and effectively using this information in a long-term perspective.
What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary between €60,000 and €80,000 per year, depending on your knowledge and experience. Additionally, you will receive:
