About the Role

The Associate Director, Translational Medicine position is a key member of the Translational Research & Precision Medicine Department at Genmab. This role is responsible for driving translational research projects and external collaborations for clinical programs within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and support the Translational Research/Biomarker strategy and workplan for Genmab projects, in collaboration with TR leads and other functional experts, to impact clinical development decision making.
  • Enrich oncology biomarker projects through interaction with the oncology translational research group and external leaders to ensure common scientific standards for biomarker programs.
  • Establish and manage external scientific collaborations, including timelines, deliverables, contractual obligations, and communication of results.
  • Implement and drive translational medicine research projects within the laboratory, including organizing, assigning, and overseeing key preclinical and clinical experimental projects.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external functional experts to support the TR strategy and manage scientific content and execution of research agreements.
Requirements
  • PhD in oncology/immuno-oncology or related field with at least eight or more years of translational research, applicable biomarker, and/or clinical trial experience.
  • Strong background in immuno-oncology/tumor biology and/or immunology.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry research required.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working within a collaborative, matrixed team.
  • Strong publication record demonstrating relevant experience in drug development, translational research, biomarkers, and/or clinical trials.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in clinical drug development to support and represent a diverse translational medicine team.
  • 'Getting things done' mentality, pro-active, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented.
  • Capable of working in global project teams.
