About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Software Architect to join our team at TradeTracker.com. As a key member of our Development department, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing the future of our software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance, cloud-native PHP applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
  • Lead the architecture of our software products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with our Development team to drive technical standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement advanced PHP techniques, including dependency injection, service containers, and design patterns.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest PHP ecosystem trends and technologies, including Composer, PHPUnit, and Packagist.
  • Optimize PHP applications for high traffic and large-scale operations, including caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and load balancing.
  • Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs in PHP, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement robust security measures to protect against SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, and other common vulnerabilities.
  • Apply architectural best practices to ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of our software.
  • Familiarity with DDD principles and experience with geographically distributed database design and PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in developing software that adopts modern data architectures and cloud-native technologies, primarily within AWS environments.
  • Experience with Docker and containerization, including deploying and managing containerized applications at scale.
  • Basic DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
Requirements
  • 8+ years of extensive experience in developing complex, high-performance web applications using PHP.
  • Deep knowledge of modern PHP frameworks, including Zend and MVC principles.
  • Proven track record of architecting and scaling PHP-based systems.
  • Experience with PHP upgrades, ensuring seamless transitions between versions while maintaining backward compatibility.

  • Expertise in advanced PHP concepts, including dependency injection, service containers, and design patterns.
  • Well-versed in the broader PHP ecosystem, including Composer, PHPUnit, and Packagist.
  • Experience in optimizing PHP applications for high traffic and large-scale operations.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs in PHP.
  • Strong understanding of PHP security best practices, including protection against SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, and other common vulnerabilities.
  • Skilled in applying architectural best practices to ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of our software.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of up to €100,000 (or about AED 400,000) per annum, plus 15% OTE, commensurate with skills and experience. The top end of the range is reserved for those with exceptional qualifications and experience.
