About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ship Structure Specialist to join our team at Lloyd's Register Rotterdam. As a key member of our Marine Technical Support Team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on structural aspects of Special Service Craft vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan appraisal for Special Service Craft vessels, focusing on structural aspects.
  • Client contact to discuss plan appraisal results and provide recommendations.
  • Collaboration with Flag Authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participation in project management and administration, adhering to office procedures.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Naval Architecture or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations, including SOLAS, MARPOL, LOADLINE, and ITC.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in the marine industry.
  • Pragmatic work attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of the Dutch language is an asset.
