Senior Researcher in Dynamic On-Body and In-Body Compression Systems

Objective

The development of advanced technologies for dynamic and adaptable actuation in compression devices is a key research focus in our team at the University of Twente.

We seek a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and testing of innovative compression systems for various applications, including rehabilitation, prevention, and therapy.

  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on actuation systems, sensors, and system engineering.
  • They will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing innovative compression devices, as well as developing and implementing advanced actuation technologies.
  • The candidate will work closely with our interdisciplinary team, including researchers, engineers, and clinicians, to ensure that the developed technologies meet the needs of patients and healthcare professionals.
  • They will also contribute to the preparation of research papers, presentations, and reports, as well as collaborate with industry partners to facilitate the translation of research outcomes into clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Profound knowledge and skills in actuation systems, sensors, and system engineering.
  • Affinity with medical applications and device design.
  • Good team spirit and ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, and strong analytical, organizational, and managerial skills.
