Compliance Escalations Team Lead Role

We're looking for an experienced leader to join our fast-paced Compliance Escalations Team. As a Compliance Risk Manager, you'll be responsible for guiding and supporting a high-performing team of Compliance Officers who focus on managing integrity risks across our customers' setups and products. Your expertise in process optimization will help us scale our Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing team of 8 Compliance Specialists who act as gatekeepers to prevent Adyen from being exposed to integrity risks outside of our risk appetite.
  • Monitor and optimize Adyen's advanced Compliance framework to drive exponential growth.
  • Initiate, drive, and deliver projects that enable Adyen to scale its Compliance processes.
  • Set the team up for success by establishing clear goals and monitoring qualitative and timely execution, while celebrating successes as we reach our full potential as a leader in this industry.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with the wider Compliance and Regulatory team, Commercial and Operational teams, to achieve common objectives.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of leadership experience, including mentoring and developing team members, driving team performance, and providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Strong, applicable knowledge of the regulatory environment in which Adyen operates as a global acquirer.
  • 3+ years of work experience in or exposure to Compliance in financial services, FinTech, or Consultancy.
  • Project management experience that allows you to take full ownership and guide the team to achieve long-term objectives.
  • Analytical and communication skills that enable you to structure and simplify complexity on a daily basis.
  • Solid interpersonal skills to communicate and interact with both internal and external stakeholders from varying disciplines and cultures.

What We Offer

This is a full-time position in Amsterdam, requiring relocation if you live outside of the Netherlands.
