Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at AMOLF, a leading research institute in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to investigate atomic scale processes using cutting-edge techniques and contribute to the development of novel materials and technologies.

Research Focus

The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the Hybrid Nanosystems research group, which focuses on understanding the complex interactions between different classes of nanomaterials. The group combines single-particle optical and advanced electron microscopy to answer fundamental questions about the behavior of materials at the atomic scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on atomic scale processes using transmission electron microscopy and other advanced techniques
  • Develop and implement new methods for visualizing and manipulating materials at the atomic scale
  • Collaborate with researchers from other institutions and industries to advance the field of atomic scale research
  • Present research findings at international conferences and publish papers in top-tier journals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have a strong background in materials science, physics, or a related field, as well as experience with transmission electron microscopy and other advanced techniques. The candidate should also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
