About the Role:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the purchased goods and services in the purchase orders meet the agreed-upon specifications and conditions. This includes carrying out product inspections on components and systems, either internally or on location at the supplier's premises.

The ideal candidate will have a technical or engineering background and be able to handle day-to-day issues regarding product or process quality. Deviations will be registered in NCR reports, and actions will be set and followed up.

The Quality Assurance Specialist will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent any quality and safety issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and tests according to the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP)
  • Lead the order process, both inland and abroad, and control corrective measures in all quality-related matters
  • Ensure quality compliance and proactively visit suppliers to validate order progress and discuss detailed plans
  • Review all applicable quality assurance documents, such as Welding documents, NDT documents, ITP, and MRB
  • Ensure a safe and tidy working environment

Requirements:

  • Higher vocational education in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, controls, or hydraulics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection of welding, materials, fabrication, preservation, and rotating equipment
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of production processes, manufacturing, sequence of manufacturing, and coating techniques
  • Familiarity with the process and work sequence for manufacturing, installing, and commissioning Offshore mission equipment
  • Familiarity with the function, operation, and customer use of the Offshore mission equipment portfolio
  • Able to read, interpret, and understand mechanical/hydraulic/electrical drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with the use of measuring tools, such as tolerances, alignment, and adjustment
  • Experience working with inspection agencies, such as Lloyds, BV, and DNV
