Automotive Engineer

As an Automotive (Engine) Design and Calibration Engineer at Trinamics Beheer B.V., you will be responsible for designing and developing engine components and systems, including intake, exhaust, fuel, and ignition systems. Your expertise will be utilized to perform engine calibration to optimize performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions. You will conduct simulations and analyses to evaluate engine performance and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate engine systems into vehicle platforms. Your role will also involve developing and executing test plans to validate engine designs and calibrations. You will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including emissions and safety requirements. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to engine performance and calibration will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will prepare technical documentation and reports to support design and calibration activities. Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. You will have proven experience in engine design and calibration, preferably in the automotive industry. Proficiency in engine simulation and analysis tools, such as GT-Power and AVL Cruise, is essential. Strong knowledge of engine control systems and calibration tools, including INCA and ATIVision, is also required. Experience with engine testing and diagnostics, including dynamometer testing, is necessary. Familiarity with emissions regulations and testing procedures, such as EPA and CARB, is also essential. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial. Strong communication and teamwork skills are also required. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is necessary.
