About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Finance Vice President to join our team at ING. As a key member of our Sustainable Finance team, you will be responsible for leading deal teams on origination and execution of sustainable deals, creating and managing relations with clients, experts, advisors, and industry bodies, and enhancing internal and external profiling to put ING's sustainable business initiatives on the map.

Responsibilities

  • Originate and execute sustainable deals, working closely with deal team members and external deal participants to bring transactions to a successful close.
  • Lead sector and country strategies, elevating the number of transactions and enhancing respective sector/country strategies.
  • Create and manage relations with clients, experts, advisors, and industry bodies.
  • Enhance internal and external profiling to promote ING's sustainable business initiatives.
  • Continuously innovate in new sustainable finance products and structures to solve real issues and identify new growth markets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in originating and executing transactions or ESG advisory with active client-facing front-office experience.
  • Experience with sustainability-related transactions is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and creative skills, with the ability to drive business growth in the EMEA region.
  • Ability to mobilize the organization in a collaborative spirit.
  • Master's degree in Business/Finance or other relevant disciplines.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
