About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team at TNO, specializing in flow and thermal effects in EUV Lithography Scanners. As a senior scientist, you will be responsible for developing new knowledge on the complex interactions between flow, contaminant/particle transport, and thermal effects. Your results will deepen the understanding of these processes and form a key step towards novel solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced flow and thermal modeling techniques (CFD/DSMC) to simulate and analyze complex processes.
- Conduct experiments and analyze results to validate simulation models and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer questions into simulation models, test-setups, and experimental test programs.
- Report results to customers and discuss the impact and follow-up of the work.
Requirements
- PhD or master's degree in a relevant field (mechanical engineering, physics, aerospace engineering).
- At least 5-10 years of background in flow/thermal modeling and experience in applied physics in a company or research organization.
- Hands-on experimental skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Data-analysis skills (e.g., Python, Matlab, MathCad).
