Enhance Production Rates and Quality
DP World Australia is seeking a skilled Logistics Process Engineer to join our team in Waalwijk. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing production rates and quality through Lean Standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Sustain, develop, and configure processes to increase production rates and quality of output.
- Manage engineering projects, budgets, and processes, while collaborating with Operations, IT, and other teams to develop innovative solutions.
- Utilize Lean Standards in everyday assignments and analysis, provide leadership and support to Continuous Improvement initiatives at the site level.
- Support operations team, both on site and (inter)nationally, to meet engineering goals and objectives that deliver results in line with the business plan.
- Conduct analysis and feasibility studies for new requirements for customers and new product introductions.
- Present solutions and commercial models as part of the business development process based on headcount reduction, innovation, automation, etc.
- Work closely with Operations, IT, Account Management, Facilities, and Project Management teams to develop and implement solutions to meet the requirements of the business.
- Assisting in new business launches on site.
- Build and maintain relationships with various DP World customers, DP World stakeholders, and contractors from an engineering perspective.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Logistics or equivalent, preferably with a technical background, in Logistics, Process, Industrial, Manufacturing.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience (theoretical and/or practical).
- Proven process improvement experience and skills utilizing common improvement tools – Lean Six Sigma, 5S Visual factory, Waste, MTM, and time studies, TPM, VSM.
- Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.
- Communication and people management skills.
- Excellent technical skills.
- Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability in relevant computer skills such as MS Office, Visio, AutoCAD, Project.
- MTM, e-commerce experience will be considered as an advantage.
