At FUUSE, we are seeking a seasoned Corporate Risk Manager to join our team in Amsterdam. This exciting opportunity is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced international environments and enjoy problem-solving.

About the Role

This key position plays a crucial part in strengthening the internal control framework, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to manage risk.

  • The successful candidate will design, implement, and enhance our internal control framework to ensure adherence to US GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and SOX regulations.
  • They will develop and refine policies and procedures to fortify financial and operational controls, conduct regular control testing, identify gaps, and implement solutions to improve processes.
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with external auditors and internal teams to guarantee smooth audit and compliance procedures.
  • As a trusted advisor to Finance, IT, and leadership teams, they will provide expert guidance on risk management and controls, supporting key business initiatives by assessing risks, implementing best practices, and driving process improvements.
  • Deliver insightful reports on internal controls, audit results, and remediation plans to senior management.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA, CIA, ACCA, or equivalent certification (preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, risk management, or internal controls—Big 4 experience is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of SOX, COSO frameworks, and financial reporting standards.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, along with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset with the ability to work independently and drive meaningful change.
