We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Strategic Communication/Data, Digital and AI in the Journalism and Media Studies Centre.
About the RoleThe appointee will be responsible for developing and teaching courses in strategic communication, data journalism, digital media, and AI in journalism. The successful candidate will have a strong research track record in communication studies, with expertise in areas such as media or multimodal data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and use of large language models in social sciences research.
Responsibilities- Design, oversee, and coordinate a new concentration of strategic communication and develop academic research projects in digital media and strategic communication.
- Teach courses in principles of strategic communication, pervasive communication, digital media and society, digital media analytics, or AI for media applications.
- Develop and lead teaching programs in strategic communication and/or raise philanthropic funds.
- Contribute to the development of the new concentration of strategic communication and support the Centre's research and teaching activities.
Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Communication/Journalism/Media Studies/Information Sciences or other related fields of study. They should have a strong research track record, experience in designing and leading teaching programs, and the ability to create real-world impact through their research agenda.
