About the Role
At ADM, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Environmental Manager to join our team. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations and requirements at our site.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor site activities and implement actions to ensure compliance with all ADM, European, Dutch and local government environmental regulations and requirements.
- Communicate with regulatory agencies as required for environmental issues.
- Prepare appropriate permit applications and regulatory applicability analysis for environmental regulations and requirements.
- Maintain and manage the site's Environmental Management System (EMS) including policy, standardization, procedure development, incident investigations – root cause analyses, risk reduction efforts, inspections, audits and training.
- Participate in and lead environmental audits or environmental agency visits and prioritize, assign and track the audit findings for completion.
- Prepare required reports and maintain all necessary records/documentation related to environmental programs for the facility, such as EU-ETS and ePRTR (eMJV).
- Develop and provide training for employees and contractors related to the environmental programs.
- Participate in the site's performance excellence program.
Requirements
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, management systems and permitting.
- Good project/program management skills.
- Proven problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills.
- Excellent and effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, acts as a reliable pro-active communicator, including the ability to organize and lead meetings.
- Team player, collaborative, and good influencing skill
- Languages: Fluency in Dutch and English
