Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated economics student to join our Impact & Economics team as a Macroeconomic Forecasting Intern. This role will involve developing Excel templates for a quick visualization of intermediate results in the forecasting process.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of macroeconomics in general and forecasting in particular, and be able to work in an organized and relatively independent manner. They will also have excellent data handling skills and be interested in Beyond GDP indicators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Excel templates for a quick visualization of intermediate results in the forecasting process
  • Develop country-specific results templates to forecast the economic development of some eurozone countries
  • Help create and run scenarios for the Genuine Progress Forecast
  • Help present the results of the Genuine Progress Forecast in an attractive and accessible manner
Requirements
  • Enrolled at a higher education institution (MBO, HBO or WO) throughout the duration of the internship
  • Good understanding of macroeconomics in general and forecasting in particular
  • Able to work in an organized and relatively independent manner
  • Excellent data handling skills
  • Interested in Beyond GDP indicators
  • Motivated to communicate research findings to a wider audience
  • Good command of English
