Nouvall Engineering Services B.V. seeks a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced naval vessels with automated systems that meet rigorous regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Design automation concepts for intricate processes, covering a diverse array of onboard systems.
• Craft automation systems that empower crew members to monitor and control all ship systems seamlessly.
• Develop and maintain specification documents for automation components and installation procedures.
• Create and implement test and validation plans to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements during virtual and real-world testing phases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and vendors to ensure timely project contributions and review vendor designs for integration into vessel designs.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing complex automation systems (PLC/SCADA) in maritime, offshore, or industrial settings.
• Proven experience in complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams and multiple suppliers/subcontractors.
• Familiarity with model-based system engineering (MBSE) in accordance with the V-model.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Technical Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong references, as pre-employment security screening is standard.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport required.
