Job Title: Control Room Automation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Control Room Automation Manager to join our team at GXO Logistics, Inc. in Heerlen, Netherlands.

Job Summary:

The Control Room Automation Manager will be responsible for coordinating all automated processes within the warehouse, including inbound and outbound operations, distribution center management, and monitoring of automated systems. The successful candidate will also manage the control room team, supervise daily tasks, and maintain good communication lines with operations and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of process controllers and WCS key users
  • Organize departures from the distribution center based on SLA agreements
  • Monitor the sortation process to ensure timely departures
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with the customer department to achieve objectives
  • Manage incidents and optimize costs with Business Support
  • Continuously improve and optimize processes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or HBO in a related field or engineering
  • Master's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in automation
  • High knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and a professional critical attitude
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, and proactive
  • Skilled in planning, conflict analysis, and resolution
  • Alert, precise, flexible, and able to cope with stress
