Hotel Okura Amsterdam is seeking a skilled Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, conducting mise en place activities, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare dishes according to standards, recipes, and planning
- Ensure and maintain the end product quality
- Provide suggestions to the Chef
- Contribute to the development of products for the menu
- Be involved in the preparation for all dishes
- Ensure good quality, taste, texture, and color of food items and make adjustments when necessary
- Instruct and advise colleagues and trainees
- Ensure a qualitatively end product
- Contract: 1 year, with the possibility of extending
- Salary: Group 4
- Bonus: 1 week salary when the hotel reaches the budgeted GOP level and you get a minimum total score of successful in your year-end evaluation
- 8% holiday allowance (pro rata)
- 25 vacation days per year (pro rata)

- Study budget of €1.000
- After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people), so that you can experience the hotel as a guest
- You possess a SVH or similar certification
- You are creative and enjoy coming up with new ideas
- You have relevant work experience (1 – 2 years) in a reputable learning company
- You speak fluent English and/or Dutch (oral and written)
- You are flexible and an independent worker
- You live in Amsterdam or surrounding area
- As part of the pre-employment screening, you will be asked for a minimum of two positive references
